True conversation—on the phone.

Scene:  My cell phone rings at home.  I answer the call because it looks  like a local call, but I am skeptical.

 

Me:  “Yo!”

Caller:  —has a thick Indian accent like maybe he was calling from Bombay:   “Hello, my name is Mark Wilson.”

Me:  “Mark….I don’t want to talk to you. Good bye.”—I hang up.

 

There are many sites on line to explain how to deal with such calls.  At the very least, go to “recents” on your phone  and block the caller.

Did I do that?  No.

 

How to tell a legit call?    Below is an example:
