Am I the only one who remembers the scooter “bumper” cars?

As a child, the Palace was a magical place. I’m sure it was run-down even then (rose colored glasses thing) but riding the Ferris Wheel out of the roof is wonderful memory.

When I was kid, my uncle took me, my sister and cousins there every Easter. We would also go through the fun house that was in the casino building. Both buildings seemed so huge to me at the time. Those are good memories 🙂

Thank you JW for some succinct wisdom for the ages. Photography is about much more than just imagery. You nailed it—-regarding all forms of art, and it also goes to human relationships. —-Paul @Blogfinger

Dr.Carol : The top portion of Ferris wheel which was inside the Palace came thru the roof of Palace

Bythesea : To you an eyesore – to me much more visually interesting & meaningful then a black topped parking lot

JW : Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder – also in there: heart, mind, & soul.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Wow, what an eyesore. Sure glad that derelict building is gone.

Great memories! But wasn’t there also a ferris wheel in that complex?

Gxd how I miss the Palace ! Demolished 10 years ago to make way for a movie/entertainment center which never happened. Now in its place is an ugly black topped parking lot. Palace could have & should have been saved and renovated. Greed & politics .
