Procession. A poem by Charles Pierre:

October 31, 2023 by Blogfinger

Pocono autumn. Paul Goldfinger photograph.

Procession

A long cortege
of October leaves,
brilliant in death,

crosses the hilltops
of a scenic bay
this crisp afternoon,

fading at dusk
to a dank row
of ghostly shadows.

This lovely and timely poem by Charles Pierre is from one of his wonderful poetry collections: “Included below is one of my Coastal Moments.”

Charles is from Manhattan, but he is a regular visitor to Ocean Grove. We are always eager to publish his evocative poems at Blogfinger.net.

Thank you Charles for sharing with our readers.
