A sad song in an immobile home park…

They call these southwest  Florida communities “manufactured home parks.”   The units are placed on cinder blocks and are never moved.   Tropicana has about 500 units, and the streets wind around and have trees.  This place has moody corners and partially hidden spaces  which you can discover as you walk or bike around.

These  locations often seem sad to me.  So I associate them with country music which often has melancholy themes.   The song below was a hit with Patsy Cline—I think it is one of the saddest of the sad.  Listen to the lyrics.

This version is from a tribute album  (Remembering Patsy Cline) done by some wonderful  and suitably sad performers.

Below is “So Wrong”by Jessi Alexander.
