Darn That Dream…..

STAN KENTON: There are so many covers of this song, especially by jazz musicians, but I wanted a version that would mimic the dance music of the 1940’s. It is from Kenton’s  album Sophisticated Approach.   Jimmy Van Heusen wrote the song for a failed Broadway show in the 1930’s.

As a college student in the FDU Jazz Band we loved those Stan Kenton arrangements.
