LEGAL DEFINITION OF A NJ ZONE IN NEED OF REDEVELOPMENT:
Areas in excess of five contiguous acres whereon buildings or improvements have been destroyed, consumed by fire, demolished or altered by the action of storm, fire, cyclone, tornado, earthquake or other casualty in such a way that the aggregate assessed value of the area has been materially depreciated.
The North End of OG never met that definition. It was a scam designed to steal the zoning from we the people. The Mayor should be petitioned to cancel their long-running approval for this project. It is way beyond its life expectancy.
The people should petition the Mayor to do something for us instead of for avarice -driven developers.
The cancellation should be done unceremoniously—without a song.
