Will the new pier actually be in the shape of a cross? Jack Bredin has an opinion.

December 20, 2022 by Blogfinger

TO THE EDITOR:

Re: The shape of the Ocean Grove pier:

In my opinion, there are no pilings at the present time in the shape of a cross.

There may be in the future, however, that would take 3-6 years to get legal permits.

JACK BREDIN

The writer is a known commentator regarding all things Grovarian.  He is particularly interested in governance, history, art, North End controversies and issues such as Wesley Lake pollution and land use law.  Jack is a high ranking officer on the good ship Blogfinger.

He calls me “Admiral,” and we must observe naval  etiquette when we say, “Don’t give up the ship.”  If you want to know which ship  side is starboard and which is portside, just ask Jack.

And Jack is a retired Blogfinger editor, but he is always available to offer a pithy opinion or a nautical one-liner.

No holds barred when Jack gets up to speak. Paul Goldfinger action photo.
