The North End Development by law cannot move forward for several reasons, the zoning in place at the time and at present was and still is in violation of both State and Federal laws that directly violate our civil rights. All hearings establishing the Area in Need of Development were done with the clear intent to deceive the public knowing Neptune’s zoning was invalid. All hearings were presented to the public with the clear intent to commit perjury. Perjury is the willful action of withholding relevant information in a legal procedure.
As I have said before. The State is obligated to the residents of OG to investigate the serious corruption by all involved in creating the illegal North End Development and for failing to zone OG as required by law.
In 1977, a senior housing project to be called “Aldersgate” was proposed.
“Developed as a life care community offering a combination of housing, domestic service, and lifetime health care, the project will include 272 studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments.”
The North End Hotel was demolished in May 1978 to make way for this project that was never built due to local opposition and economic factors of the “Ocean Grave” period.
