How many walking connections do we need between OG and A. Park? Two should be good enough: the boardwalk and the Windmill. Let’s tear down the Jersey Avenue and Founders Park bridges!
OK–it’s a lousy idea, but we shouldn’t give up trying.

I know you were joking, but the bridge situation is somewhat serious. The Wesley Lake Commission met in April 2021 with mention made:
“T & M Associates did a presentation on their analysis of the condition of the footbridges across Wesley Lake. The bridges are over 90 years old and have significant yet normal deterioration.
There are numerous cracks and spalling that need to be addressed. A final report with priorities and dollar amounts is forthcoming.”
As we saw in the dreadful condo collapse in Florida, steel-reinforced concrete structures do not survive so well in a marine environment.
