Around town with Jean: Time for the bazaar….time to iron.

“Ironing boards lined up on a fence is a strong indicator that the Ladies Auxiliary Summer Marketplace Sale is approaching… to be held this Thurs,  Fri , and Sat. at the Auditorium Pavilion.

“As an avid Second Hand Rose kind of of person, I look forward to all the treasures.”

 

FANNY BRICE made this song famous in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1921. She was a comedian as well as a song and dance star.   Her accent was heavy  Yiddish, although she was born in NYC.  That accent was a gimmick.

Many years later Barbra Streisand starred as Fanny in the show Funny Girl.  It was a huge hit.
