A beautiful Saturday morning—-8 am: joggers and bikers on the boards; a slight haze over the oceanfront as a passenger boat moves slowly across the horizon.
The beach is mostly empty, but some have reserved places to sit at the water’s edge; no lifeguards or badge checkers in sight. (too early;) walkers and families begin to enter the beach;
There is a flier taped to the Pavilion advertising a religious concert tonight at the Great Auditorium.
On Ocean Avenue there are practically no parking spaces available. Paid parking is the answer for critical locations at least—such as downtown and beach front.
The OG beach is coming to life.

Some gaze to the east and contemplate this lovely morning. Others run or bike from north to south and visa versa. OG Boardwalk Pavilion. Blogfinger.net ©

It’s beautiful and mostly free of people near the water’s edge. Let’s take off our shoes and take a walk in the sand.

At 8 am this morning the beach garbage had not been picked up, leaving that pleasant site for all to see as they entered the beach.
