What else has Ford done? Remember the Thunderbird?

July 15, 2022 by Blogfinger

This Thunderbird   (T-Bird)  was parked on Broadway in Ocean Grove. May, 2021. Paul Goldfinger photo. ©  Click to enlarge

The Thunderbird first appeared in 1955 and it was built until 1997. It is a sports car with a V8 engine and 280 horses.

In 2002 it was brought back with a new design  (see photo above) but it was slammed by car enthusiasts and was last built in 2005.

But it would still look great parked in South Beach  (Miami) Florida with some wonderful samba music on the radio.

The T-Bird was a nice example of the “retro-fever” of the early 2000’s. I always thought it looks cute but just like the Hot Rod magazine said about the car: “It doesn’t break the rear wheels lose in a burnout, we just don’t care”.
