Days is now open daily. Their hours are noon to 10 pm and they do accept credit cards. They have continued their method of ordering from the porch. Then they call your name for pickup.
I had a small hot fudge sundae with wet nuts, rocky road ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry. It was terrific.
Their selection of flavors is extensive, and their ice cream is such a treat! As you climb the stairs to the porch, you can read the flavors straight ahead. No customers go inside.

When I was a kid, I would visit my grandparents in Bayonne. They had the most wonderful Jewish cooking coming out of a tiny kitchen. Their chicken soup was world-class, and I finally figured out what the secret ingredient was.
It was having the soup in that little house with family around including my uncles who were veterans and I idolized them.
So it is with Days ice cream. They serve only the best, but the secret ingredient is having it on that historic porch with sea breezes and so many happy visitors and such eager people watching. Don’t take it home. Have it there. –Paul
