At least 20 gardeners from the Beautification Project in Ocean Grove were expected on a cool Thursday morning at the top of Broadway, near the WWI memorial. They were getting a good start for the forthcoming Memorial Day weekend.
A ceremony will be held on Monday morning to rededicate the monuments to WWI and WWII veterans. Blogfinger has posted the details of Monday’s events including the parade. Just scroll down to it.

THE RASCALS:
The WWI monument on Broadway was dedicated on 30 May 1920 on land ceded by the Association to Neptune Township. It was entirely of granite except for the statue of more easily carved Indiana limestone. The granite WWII monument to the east was designed in 1946.
