Blogfinger photograph on a residential street in A. Park. And their paid parking (no more meters) is wonderful. 4/22/22. What is Neptune* doing for us ? (The town not the planet..)
AP started using parking meters in 1940 and was one of the first towns in the area to do so. The first car to appear in OG likely was in a parade on 3 Jun. 1899. By 1915, it was reported that 1,500 cars had to be parked in OG for attendees of a Sat. night concert. There were two major losses of parking in OG. The first was in 1987 when a rule was adopted concerning parking near corners. It was estimated that 2,000 spaces were lost. Another was the elimination of a Sunday parking lot south of Inskip and west of Delaware in 1993.
