That night there was nearly an insurrection on Mt Hermon Way. A gang of teens from beautiful downtown Asbury Park decided to pay us a Halloween visit. They had to tear themselves away from a lovely sushi dinner at TAKA.
A Grover giving out candy was roughed up, and a maniac driving a stolen car from our street roared away crashing the vehicle in A. Park and didn’t even pay for parking on Cookman.
The Neptune detectives began an investigation. The citizens of OG need to know their findings. Will anyone in the Grove want to give out goodies after dark next year?
Was it a “one-off” or could this be the start of something new?
Why haven’t the police revealed a report to the public?
If the local press won’t publish it, we will.
And where is the OG Home Groaners in looking out for we the people? They said nothing about this alarming event. Read their mission statement. They’re supposed to deal with “issues of concern” in town. And the concept of “protecting our property values ” is also mentioned.
Who wants to move here when ghouls and gangs can roam our streets unmolested?
