10/21/21. Judge to Gannon III: You must make public the names of all OGNED investors. But correction below (10/28)

CORRECTION*   10/28/21:   We planned  to obtain the names of OGNED members using an OPRA request, but we received this email today from the Neptune Twp. Municipal Clerk:

Paul,

I spoke to the Township Attorney and the Municipal Court Administrator and they said there was no directive by the Judge about not concealing names or providing additional names in this matter.  The Court Administrator did say that a request was made that the summons be issued in the name of the LLC that owns the property rather than individuals.  The Judge left the summons as is and did not change it.

Rick Cuttrell
Municipal Clerk

We thank Mr. Cuttrell for this clarification, but we remain concerned that the OGNED membership has never been released to the public.

Below is our October 21  post on this topic:

Paul Goldfinger, MD   Editor,  Blogfinger.net.

*We have learned that the Neptune Municipal Court Judge told Gannon III that the names of OGNED investors cannot be kept secret.  Our source is someone who was present at that recent hearing in the Neptune Court Room.

Gannon was there over conditions at the North End.  The Judge reacted when Gannon asked that the OGNED identities be kept under wraps.  Why is that important to OGNED ?  Would those revelations be embarrassing or worse?

It is about time that this information be made public.  We should know who will benefit from the North End Re-Development.  We will try to obtain that information from the Township Clerk.

Also we should  be updated on what exactly is going on at the HPC North End hearings which have dragged on.  Do you suppose that the lack of HPC transparency is because the Mayor has muffled free speech at the HPC, and if that is true, then what would be the Mayor’s motives?    Was he pressured by OGNED to maintain secrecy as was revealed at this court proceeding?

And do you recall the Home Groaners meeting when OGNED principals refused to answer certain questions from the membership, and this censorship was supported by the Groaners’ president Barbara Burns?

If you are interested in the North End, you should re-read the last article we posted on Blogfinger about the secrecy and lack of transparency found in this disgraceful OGNED plan:

If not for Paul Goldfinger’s reporting on the North End, the good residents of Ocean Grove would be left completely in the dark about the attempt by the Township, the Camp Meeting Assoc, and the OG Homeowners’ Association to turn OG North into Asbury Park South, using the pretense of Historical Preservation.

The North End project has more loose ends than a Calcutta whorehouse. We have pointed out many of them.

And, as Jack Bredin has pointed out in the past, this construction project may have to be handed off to some big time developer such as Sackman. Remember, Sackman is busy in Asbury Park and New York, and they also own a commercial property in Ocean Grove. This story is not over, so don’t be mislead by any hangups with the HPC—they are just a diversion.
