I like to pick a park a day and bring coffee, and enjoy
This is probably the smallest park in OG on Mt. Carmel and New Jersey Avenue, but with 3 benches, there’s plenty of room.”
Editor’s note: Neptune Township calls parks like this “Triangle Parks”—there are a few. Why don’t we the people adopt all these triangle parks and give them names? Maybe the Home Groaners could do that project. It is a guaranteed success and will give them something in the “win”column.
Here’s an idea: Let’s call this one the “Doctor Pepper Park.” Then everyone can come here with a Dr. Pepper to have a drink and sing this song—a new OG tradition—the first without a religious theme.
Here is a link about OG park names:
The three triangle parks already have names, one I believe closest to Thompson park aka Founders park, is the Asbury Triangle named after Frances Asbury. The other names may be found in the early OGCMA annual reports.

Kevin. We can’t have that triangle called Asbury Park? Can we? And why is nothing named for Osborne who actually founded the town?
