When I was a kid I heard a lot of show music at home including Annie Get Your Gun.  I listened carefully to lyrics because show music told a story.   This show captured my imagination, but the lyrics of this song  baffled me, especially “I’ll be sitting next to her and she’ll purr like a kitten.”   What does that mean?  Much later I found out.
