Total gardens: 6 As of May 29. The list will be posted above on the Garden Tour page. Tell your friends to go to Blogfinger.net and then look up to find the tour page—That’s where the list of gardens will soon be shown and updated. Any Grover garden can be posted there right up tour day on June 20.
Ocean Grove, with its 60×30 lots, offers challenges for gardeners to create beautiful and innovative small gardens, and there are so many great examples around the Grove.
This event is the sort of small town happening that will be fun for the locals as well as garden lovers from nearby towns who love to walk through the Grove. It is both enjoyable and educational.
All you need to participate is a garden—and that includes even a floral arrangement in a pot. You don’t even have to be home, although it would be better if you could be present for those 3 hours to explain your horticultural design.
Let us include you in our list of addresses. Let’s show that the residents of Ocean Grove can come up with an event that is appropriate to our life styles. Encourage your neighbors to join it.
We will have a page tab on top of Blogfinger.net with a list of addresses for reference. We will mention the tour in the Coaster and NextDoor. Tell others to visit Blogfinger.net for information and click on the tab on top of the home page.
It will be June 20, Sunday, from 10 am to 1 pm. It will be a social and educational event. You don’t have to do anything to prepare.
Late June is an ideal time to show off your creation, especially on a Sunday morning when the Grove is at its loveliest. Much will be in bloom at that time.
There should be a nice variety given the fact that Grovers have gardens front, back and on the sides. Even a potted porch garden can be creative.
If you would like to be on the list, just send us your name, address and email, but we will only place your address and first name on the list.
Tell your friends and neighbors. We already have two show gardens. Blogfinger@verizon.net
