WASSUP? Ocean Grove

a.  “Magnets in Apple iPhone 12 can disable defibrillator, implanted cardiac defibrillators, cardiologists find….”

The Detroit (MI) Free Press (2/4, Shamus) reports, “Magnets and other components inside iPhone 12 devices could disable pacemakers or implanted cardiac defibrillators…potentially putting millions of people at risk for dangerous heart complications.” Cardiologists at the Henry Ford Heart & Vascular Institute identified the problem.

According to Modern Healthcare (2/4, Kacik, Subscription Publication), in a letter to the editor published online in the Heart Rhythm journal, the cardiologists detailed an incident in which an iPhone brought “close to a patient’s chest that had a Medtronic defibrillator” deactivated the device which only “started working again when” the phone was taken away. For its part, “Apple published a warning  on its website on Jan. 23 instructing iPhone 12 users to ‘keep your iPhone and MagSafe accessories a safe distance away from your device (more than six inches / 15 cm apart or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging).’”

b.  Israeli researchers have come up with a new technology for COVID.  “The new drug cured 29 of 30 moderate/serious COVID cases in days–in hospital.  The medicine was developed at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.  It moderates immune responses, helping to prevent deadly cytokine storm, researchers say.  29 or 30 phase 1 trial patients left hospital within 3-5 days.”    More info to follow    Story from the Times of Israel.

c.  Mayor Brantley’s disgraceful witch hunt among Neptune employees has been cancelled thanks to quick action by the Fraternal Order of Police.  This mayor should be recalled and dismissed for his attempt to “investigate” employees including police to “help the FBI” with their investigations regarding the Capitol invasion.

What business is it of his and where did he find probable cause to investigate Neptune workers?  This is an outrage, and he must be removed along with the other Committee men who supported this terrible attempt to invade the privacy of citizens for no good reason.  The FOP simply hid behind their contract with the town, and that was enough to intimidate Brantley and his investigators.

I don’t care what party you belong to, this is un-American and terrifying  and there should be a loud outcry.

Everyone should be standing behind the FOP on this one, these small steps taking place in small communities like Neptune lead towards the growth of facistism in America. What this mayor did in Neptune is truly anti- American and shows a deep seated hatred for the police.
