This event is the “Hallelujah Chorus” by Handel.
It was a virtual performance to conclude the 66th Annual Choir Festival in Ocean Grove.
You can see the singers who were all in my dining room as I filmed this with my iPhone. It was a tight squeeze.
Maestro Jason Tramm managed to conduct while standing high in the upper right hand corner.
Despite the reduced choral man/woman power, a big sound was achieved. Usually they have about 800 voices and a full orchestra. Now there were just 7 instrumentalists and the organ. The sound echoed through the wooden cello of the Auditorium and it was transmitted electronically all over the world.
Ironically, more people heard and viewed this spectacle this time than ever before.
