Ocean Grove summer 2019. It will be like this again, but first, we need to protect ourselves. Paul Goldfinger photo. Click to enlarge

I found this “contact us” form at NJ.gov. We cannot depend on our elected officials at Neptune Township or Monmouth County because they are AWOL—perhaps hiding under their beds regarding the issue of COVID-19 dangers for the citizens of Ocean Grove.
It’s not clear why they have failed us nor is it clear why the OGCMA has been indifferent to the health and welfare of our community.
And, the OGHOA has, as usual, shown no sign of activism for our residents.
Ocean Grove may be the only town in New Jersey where the citizens look towards their local government for protection and find nobody home.
We suggest you comment on Blogfinger and use your real name. Be brief. And go online and appeal to the Governor. We have already appealed to the local press.
Maybe the Better Parking Alliance will shift gears and apply their skills to this matter. We need a local organization to represent we the people.

FRANK SINATRA:
Please CALL Governor Murphy to both alert him of this situation and strongly oppose it, at 609-292-6000.
The more of us from Ocean Grove call, the faster the Governor will respond.
OGCMA is not only putting all of us at risk, their decision to open the town up to events will put an additional strain on our Medical Center.
PLEASE make this call to the Governor!
