Camp Meeting addresses their COVID policies at Oceangrove.org »

Blogfinger asks the Asbury Park Press to cover the OG story.

April 26, 2020 by Blogfinger

This is a letter sent today to the APP:

Mr Larsen:     Is it possible to carve out Ocean Grove as a separate place for your daily list of Monmouth County victims?   OG is actually a town with its own risk profile, so even though it is part of Neptune, I believe that the people of the Grove would welcome that information, and I suspect the data would be a story unto itself for your OG reporter to look at.

The issue of distancing is heating up in our town because of the arrogance of the OG Camp Meeting Association which operates our beach and boardwalk and seems to be in a state of denial over protecting our population from mobs of tourists.

They just published their schedule which includes a choir rehearsal in June. (Do you recall the horrible choir story from Washington State where 45/60 at a rehearsal became infected, and two died.),  I would think that your newspaper owes it to the thousands of folks who live in the Grove (Including first and second homers) to cover this story.  Blogfinger.net is doing so, but we can’t get the access to the CMA that you can.

Thank you,

Paul Goldfinger
