According to the OGHOA, “The Township has issued a temporary ban on short term rentals.” An email was sent out today by the Groaners. Here is a portion of that:
“On April 6, the Township expanded its emergency declaration by enacting a temporary ban on short-term residential rentals. The expanded declaration is effective as of April 8, and defines “short-term rental” as any rental of a residential unit, whether a house, apartment, condominium unit or room in a hotel, inn, bed and breakfast and including rentals through VBRO, Aibnb or similar platforms.”
It also says, “Transient guests and seasonal guests as described above are hereby prohibited from staying at any hotel, motel, guest house, or other short term rental property, including within private residences, effective at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.”
The actualTownship Declaration says, “These included closure of the municipal building, as well as playgrounds and certain portions of township parks. The Neptune Police Department was empowered to enforce the declaration, as well as any executive orders issued by Governor Murphy.”
“This will be in effect until April 27. ”
This Declaration of Emergency was signed on April 6 and distributed by the Home Groaners on April 9, but do you suppose that they asked any questions of the Township such as:
a. How exactly will this Declaration be enforced? Will the Township be soliciting complaints from one citizen against another?
b. Why hasn’t the Township closed the Boardwalk and beaches? How about an explanation! Where is the Board of Health?
c. Why hasn’t the Township insisted that the Tent Village stay closed. After all, they have already officially closed the parks, at least “certain portions.”
d. And if short term rentals are banned, how about short term homeowners who come and go from New York City, the Corona epicenter of the world?
e. The official Declaration says, “All municipal playgrounds and certain facilities within municipal parks are closed.” Why hasn’t the HOA asked whether those “certain facilities of Township parks” include any in Ocean Grove? Why are they not being specific? Are they protecting the CMA which controls certain parks in the Grove?
f. And what happens after April 27? Would they extend this Declaration?
The Groaners should have asked some questions instead of just parroting the contents of the April 6 Declaration?. What exactly does Barbara Burns and her crew do for the residents of the Grove? Are they merely parrots for the Town? If they are not activists for the residents of the Grove, then who are?

These questions should be addressed soon. Today, April 9, 2020, the NJ death rates continue to spike, and the Governor continues to further limit the activities of New Jersey’s 9 million citizens. Today he closed all parks in the State. All NJ flags will fly at half staff.
The Township will not challenge the CMA because they are in cahoots together–partners in crime at the North End.
The Township Comedy has perpetually refused to challenge the CMA on anything. But we need to know about the permits for giant events in OG, all of which should be cancelled.
