Sisters: Eileen and Hope in Fla.

February 17, 2020 by Blogfinger

Eileen (R) and Hope were raised in the jungles of New Guinea by one of the Ten Lost Tribes. But they have since adjusted to America.  Here they are on Sanibel Island.  Blogfinger photo Feb 2020.  Click to enlarge.

Irving Berlin wrote the songs for the movie White Christmas, but in the movie, for the duo “Sisters,” Rosemary Clooney sang both parts.  Vera Ellen was the movie sister, and she and her lovely dancing gams were real, but Rosemary dubbed in her singing part for the duet.

Rosemary’s real sister Betty Clooney  sang the Vera Ellen part for the album below.

ROSEMARY CLOONEY, BETTY CLOONEY, AND THE PAUL WESTON ORCHESTRA.   The album is called Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
