They call the wind Mariah: harsh gusts churn the ocean at the Jersey Shore.

This morning a bright sun lit up the ocean as harsh winds slammed car doors shut, blew hats off, and caused the ocean to get wild.   I parked my car and walked onto the boards in Belmar, but it was intolerable to stay there.

Yet there was a guy blithely skipping rope on the boards while facing the ocean, defying the winds.

Mariah is a biblical name, but it is also the name of a talented woman worth over $500 million.
