a. OGNED is on the agenda for the next Planning Board meeting on Nov. 13, 7 pm on the second floor of the Municipal Bldg.. Citizens who care about the North End should attend.
b. Better Parking Alliance (BPA) is embarking on Phase 2 by “engaging with many of the key stakeholders in own and discussing potential solutions.”
Later, Phase 3 will “be taking a specific proposal before the Township Committee.”
BPA is “hoping to get a large and supportive turnout for that meeting.”
c. Every time Asbury has a large event, it puts pressure on OG parking. This is a fluid situation, and they keep pushing for bigger weekend crowds, but have you noticed the increasingly incessant scheduling of tourist events in the Grove by the Chamber of Commercials? OG is becoming Disneyland.
Long term residents are already moving out; five of my long-time North End neighbors have fled while others in town have given up and are becoming indifferent, thinking of leaving as well.

The constant death rattle coming from the North End, condoization in town, Camp Meeting intransigence, and parking distress take their toll over time and erodes good will for Ocean Grove. Then people begin to find other reasons to leave such as the high taxes; then it’s “Goodby Charlie.” —-PG

d. Fresh cranberries from the Pine Barrens are available at Wegmans. You can freeze them until you need them to make Eileen’s cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.
