We went up on the Sanibel Lighthouse Pier (see the lighthouse in the photo?). This southwest location attracts more sheepheads than anywhere else, including Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, NY where they catch the elusive gefilta fish and the Coney Island whitefish. Oy vey!
I showed my T shirt to a fisherman. On the front is a drawing of a sheepshead from Rhinebeck, NY where they make wool. He was busy wrestling with a sheepshead fish, so he looked, grunted, and went back to work.
