Ocean Grove did earn a well-deserved bad reputation for taking gay tax dollars from the public, then barring those tax-paying gays from using the facilities that they paid for.
But that’s old history, corrected and accounted for.
But the Asbury Park bitter brigade hasn’t moved on, apparently, has it? Liberals are ignoring their time-tested values in Ocean Grove: healthful simple living, prayer, peace and solitude, respite for those seeking religious expression.
Asbury may need a peaceful, quiet, prayerful park and historical message of quietude in their south, in the future, more than they think they do now: exact definition? unknown. And I am a liberal Democrat! But I know a hairline crack when I see one.
OG can’t compete with Asbury Park in the Snookie department, but you have a line of ghosts, memories and indestructible values you can marshal. Make it so. History will forget you if you do not take action.
