This wonderful AP Civil War Memorial, with gardens and historic canons open to the public, is so lovely and accessible.

But the bell in Ocean Grove’s Firemen’s Park remains locked and shuttered with metal spikes and bush needles, to prevent some Grover child or visitor from touching it. The “grass” about is a disgrace, the grassy strip contains holes suitable for tripping, and the trees remain uncared for.

Firemen’s Park in the Grove is s public park. It is not a private space for aging and dead firemen.–…Mayor Williams, take down that wall!
