1. Saturday June 2: Giant Spring Flea Market brought to you by the Chamber of Horrible Gridlock. Who wins? Who Loses ? Who just stares off in space, paralyzed at home.

4. BF Medical Report from the American Medical Association:
ACS recommends screening for colorectal cancer at age 45
The Washington Post (5/30, McGinley) reports the American Cancer Society announced on Wednesday that it is updating its guideline for screening for colorectal cancer, now calling for adults to be screened “beginning at age 45 rather than 50.”
5. Mini review: Went to the Osteria Procaccini at 50 Main Avenue on May 31 (Thursday night). Business was very slow. We tried the 12 inch Margherita pizza made with mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil and extra virgin olive oil. It was terrific, and only $12.00. The chef took a mere 5 minutes to deliver this baby from the oven. They have antipasti, salads, artisanal sandwiches, and a variety of toppings for the pizzas. The Osteria delivers in OG, but it’s hit or miss depending on availability. Best shot on the weekends. 732 775 1639.
6. Many of you may have noticed that Committeewoman Carol Rizzo was lagging behind her four colleagues during the Memorial Day parade.
She has contacted us to report that she has been slowed down due to a hockey injury (playing, not watching.) She wanted to “set the record straight” that nothing political was going on.
Carol says, “I do love our parades and I love seeing my friends and neighbors standing to honor the fallen. And I am honored to work with my colleagues on the Township Committee. ”
Thank you Carol for the clarification . Good luck with your recuperation, and next time, get the puck out of there.

Fran: Thank you. You are correct. The instructions online for the parade were unclear.
Sometimes our BF numbers jump around unpredictably. —
I would like to think people were searching old pictures of us because we are celebrities in town, ha…but, it’s because no one knew if the Memorial Day Parade was still taking place because of the crummy weather, so they probably Googled: Ocean Grove Memorial Day Parade.
That is the first thing that comes up with the Google search, your 2015 Memorial Day Blogfinger Post and pictures.
People were all confused along Main Ave near the Shops, asking if the Parade was still
taking place…so they probably googled it and found that Post.
Editor’s note: Thanks Fran. Sometimes its a mystery why our numbers go up and down unexpectedly. I thought that the weather was “crummy” so maybe some skipped the picnic and sat at their computers instead. Sometimes our email blast generates another few hundred hits. But the information about the Parade was poorly publicized, and I did recognize that and try to put it up on BF.
