    If he contests these tickets, he will win. The Federal Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices is the standard to which every State’s motor vehicle laws must conform. In NJ, there are 17 motor vehicle statutes that state that the statute will be “in accordance with the Federal Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices.” This includes pavement and curb markings

    When it comes to curb or pavement markings yellow is used for caution. Red is a prohibition. Neptune fails to comply with this standard. To see the proper markings, go to Avon. They use red paint for this purpose – in conformance with motor vehicle statutes.

    PS: Red paint costs the same as yellow paint.
