Ocean Grove is a very dog friendly beach town with a large dog population, but it has no dog beach.

There is a dog beach on Eight Avenue in AP which is open to canine swimmers and their owners after 6 pm.  Otherwise the beach is reserved for surfers.

Why are surfers in OG  a special class in this town, while dog owners, a much larger group, are ignored.  Dog owners can’t get a dog park or a dog beach.

In OG, surfers and dog owners could all share the OG North End beach as they do in Asbury Park.

A dog beach is a very social place, enjoyed by humans and kids (also humans) . The one in A. Park is squeaky clean, so cleanliness is not an issue.      Write a letter to the Township Committee and the CMA.
