Governor Christie has authorized all County Clerks to provide Veteran’s ID photo cards to any veteran that registers their DD214 with the County Clerk’s office. The card proves the person is a U.S. Veteran and the card can be used for many discounts made available from the business community.
For our local residents, they are available at County Connection, located at 3544 Route 66 here in Neptune. (In the Home Depot complex). Their phone number is 732-303-2828.
Cards are also available from the County office in Freehold. 732-683=8740.

Hey Dude…no music button.
I went to the County Clerk office in the Rt. 66 location by Home Depot. It took about 15 minutes for some simple paper work Then they take your picture. For me they had some cute French girls clutching bottles of Bordeaux and hugging and kissing me and thanking me for landing at Normandy. Then they gave me an ID card with a grotesque picture of some guy I didn’t recognize.
You can thank Roberta at Neptune Twp. for putting this news out there and sending it to Blogfinger. Good work, Roberta.
Paul,
This is great information! I work at Lowes and we extend an additional 10% discount to our veterans every day whether they buy a pack of gum or a lawn tractor. The question often comes up as to where they can obtain their military I.D. card. I have WW II veterans who come in with their framed DD214’s from their discharge in 1945! This will make it a lot easier for them. I’ve printed it out to bring to work.
Thanks & Regards,
Robert Burns
