Our town-wide yard sale was a big success last year, and this year we want it to be even larger. The Saturday of the Mother’s Day weekend was ideal because the weather was great, parking ample, nothing much else going on, and a happy spirit of Spring was in the air. Groups of neighbors got together to create little islands of activity all over the Grove. You can have a sale without officially joining our band wagon, but you will miss out on the advertisements and all the band wagon fun.

I made rounds last time and discovered that everyone was having a great time; they even included Moms who were hanging around and kibitzing with the steady stream of visitors.

Once again we will provide detailed yard-sale specifications on the blog which will be the target of ads that we will place in the major publications of this area. More details to follow, but you can use the cold days of winter to plan your sale. We also want to create maps of OG with litle dots at the locations of the participants. Any graphic artist out there who can help us with the map idea?

We will be encouraging everyone who joins us to obtain an official Neptune Township permit—you never know when they will actually enforce the rules.
