This photograph was obtained at 7:20 a.m. off the Ocean Grove fishing pier by Ted Aanensen, who was standing at the ocean’s edge watching this fishing boat still reeling ’em in.

SOUNDTRACK: Anita O’Day: “My Ship.” The song was written by Kurt Weill (music) and Ira Gershwin (lyrics). Weill was a successful Jewish composer in Germany, but he escaped the Nazis and came to the US in 1933. He also was successful here, and his best known work is the Three Penny Opera.  — PG
