Some BF readers think that we Grovers should find a way to pressure FEMA for financial help rebuilding the boardwalk. Well why not send some money to FEMA at 500 C Street, SW, Washington, DC? No, not a bribe, but just a few bucks for the office coffee fund.
We can raise the FEMA money by having a fundraiser—a bait sale on Blogfinger. We can catch the bait in the pristine waters of Wesley Lake. Customers will find us on the internet, and we can ship the merchandise to places where they don’t have bait, like Slovakia.
We will then send the “gift” to the FEMA office where they make decisions. It will go into their little tin box where it can be used for legitimate business expenses like Starbucks.
Any other ideas before we go over the cliff?

Meanwhile back in Belmar -while OG wastes time only talking about what to do- they are starting to rebuild their boardwalk TOMORROW.
The “buy a board” concept is the solution in OG that will make everyone happy. It would allow those that want to avoid the Now and Forever fund (for what ever their personal reasons are) to donate directly to a boardwalk only project. Those that don’t mind contributing to the CMA’s vision of how things should go can donate to the existing fund. It really is a simple resolution to a complex problem. I would very much like to hear the CMA’S thoughts on this. I will still put my faith in the fact that I believe that my donation to Now and Forever will go where I indicate on my check. The bigger goal will be accomplished by adding alternative avenues for donation. Can another organization spearhead the “buy a board” idea?
Just read about Belmar’s “Buy a Board” Campaign. Collected over 231K in less than a month. Maybe something to consider.
