The biggest disappointment was the lack of some really good marching bands. Without traditional bands playing Sousa, a parade can never be great. Bagpipes, glockenspiels, and kazoos are fine, but they just aren’t enough.
While I enjoyed the parade, I too missed the funny car and some other stuff. This year’s parade seemed much shorter than last year’s. Did anyone time it?
Parade sucked!
Where were the Mummer dancers?
Where were the “funny” cars?
Where was the Banjo band?
Where was the Neptune High School Band?
Are we really interested in fire engines from Ramsey?
Paul, We thank you for being the OG historian, 50 years from now people will still be enjoying your photos as much as we do now.
Those girls from NYC’s Mother Cabrini High School are top notch.
What a standard they set!

Credit to the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association which sponsors this parade each year.
