Ocean Grove Style Window Smashing Reported in Wall

March 22, 2012 by Blogfinger

By Charles Layton

Remember in January and February when vandals went on a spree in Ocean Grove, hurling rocks through the windows of houses and parked cars?

Well, a very similar thing has now happened in Wall.

The Asbury Park Press reported Thursday on an overnight rash of criminal mischief, which Wall police think may be linked to similar incidents in Ocean Grove and other towns. Rocks were thrown at 11 homes and vehicles, the paper said, causing several thousand dollars in damage.

And, it was said, “a dark-colored sport-utility vehicle may be involved.” In the most recent cases in Ocean Grove, in the last week of February, a witness reported seeing three people in a blue Jeep Cherokee.

We’re grateful to alert reader Kris Jensen for calling our attention to the Wall story, which you can read by following this link.
