1. Mayor Randy Bishop and Deputy Mayor Eric Houghtaling will host a meeting February 9 with representatives from homeowners’ and renters’ groups in Neptune Township. The meeting won’t be open to the general public or to news organizations. Bishop says the purpose is to better understand the concerns of residents. Denis McCarthy, president of the OG Home Owners Association, said Grovers can post questions for the mayor on the organization’s website. Go to http://www.oghoa.org and click on “Contact.” Bishop also said a goal for this year is for Township Committee members to take turns attending homeowners association meetings. “I think it will lead to better government,” he said.
2. The Ocean Grove Home Owners Association is going paperless. In an effort to cut the high cost of mailings, the HOA wants to transition to email. Last year, the organization spent more than $1,000 on postage and paper mailings. The group is asking those interesting in learning about its activities to sign up for email on its website: http://www.oghoa.org.
