We welcome Yvette Blackman to the Blogfinger writing staff. She was born in Trinidad, but she spent her youth in the Bronx. After attending Colgate University as an English major, Yvette began a 25-year career with the Associated Press. She started as a reporter, was a news editor in Florida and then finished her career as assistant features editor—New York office.
Currently Yvette lives in Ocean Township, but she has many friends in the Grove and she spends much of her time here volunteering and visiting. Yvette has just completed her first post for Blogfinger, reporting about the New Jersey Marathon, which will, for the first time, swing through Ocean Grove. She is currently working on a feature story about the tenters as they prepare to move into their historic summer quarters.
