Bertolli is the “neighborhood cat’ around Benson and Heck Avenues. MaryLou says, “Everyone in those parts loves him. The porch stairs in this painting do not belong to Bertolli’s house, however, you will usually find him there on a sunny day.  Not only is he  provided with a lush blanket and cozy chair cushion for his lounging experience but he also has refreshments within reach.

A water bowl is provided along with a super-sized jar of treats. Lucky cat.

“This painting will be on exhibit (virtually) from June 1, 2021 to June 1, 2022 in the N.J. Watercolor Society Elected Members Show.”  MaryLou has also been exhibited on Blogfinger many times in the past, usually with her wonderful cat portraits.

Having a virtual exhibit does have the advantage of keeping probing fingers off the work.  MaryLou does accept commissions.  She has been working lately creating  D.I.Y (do it yourself) projects, A.K.A “trash to treasure.  She recently transformed a curb-side cigar box with decoupage, chalk paint and gems.  It was lined on the inside with white felt.
