And there are still some more Jersey Fresh available as long there are no frosts. Eileen picked some of her basil to freeze. And she made cranberry sauce yesterday with fresh Jersey cranberries. We are still finding some fresh picked delicious Jersey tomatoes . The Sunset market is now done, but I bet that Delicious Orchards still has these.
Hinck turkey farms in Wall are no longer taking Thanksgiving turkey and dinner orders. For us it is Whole Foods in Wall–south on Rt. 35 and right turn onto Allaire Road.
As for Delicious Orchards “Bell and Evans” turkeys, this year they are offering small “brine” birds which are soaked in salt making them a bit salty and with crispier skins. They also have regular turkeys in various brands available in large sizes unbrined. Kosher meats are also soaked in salt.
Don’t forget DO for their fabulous pies, cider donuts, produce, etc. But go soon before the rush.
