A beautiful Monday morning, 10 am, 9/15/25. in Asbury Park. Mostly workers were there; busy. Note huge stage coming down on the north beach.. All Photographs by Paul Goldfinger. Click once to enlarge all photos. Blogfinger.net.

Maybe 40,000 people yesterday. This morning just a few walkers. The beach is empty except for dismantlers.

Remains of “Art on the Beach”. Click to see—uh; it’s sea. Click once. Note large balloon in the water. There were many to keep boats away.
Speaking of Corona at the beach, here is a scene from the OG beach:

Paul Goldfinger, MD reporting from the day after. AP beach front. 9/15/25. About 10 am…
By the way, there were loads of open parking spaces, and since I was staying to only take a few photos, I didn’t use my Asbury APP. Dumb! I got a ticket for $50.00. The guy behind me also got nailed.
It was 10 am, and you couldn’t guess that the area was the site of the huge “Sea, Hear, Now Festival” on 9/13 and 9/14/25 in Asbury Park.
A few folks were enjoying walking their dogs on the AP boards. In OG, dogs would be allowed on 9/15/25 (today)
Mostly there were workers. In the surf were some giant balloons that were being brought to shore. one at a time. A worker said that they were for a recent surfing competition, but we suspect that the balloons were to keep small boats with big ears from enjoying the performances. Two years ago we spoke to a boater who tried to drop anchor for the concert, but he said that the sound quality out there was awful.
We watched workers dismantle the Corona beer display on the boardwalk.
On the beach, artistic colorful displays were being removed. Behind the theatre and Bradley’s statue, another big stage was being taken down.
Ocean Grove sustained another crowded prime weekend with a glut of cars and few places to park due to the Rock Festival. But Asbury Park has paid parking for which they earn millions of dollars each year. I saw quite a few signs near the ocean where pay to park was active, but there also were signs that reserved spaces for residents with parking permits. I assume those permitted vehicles do not pay. So they, like other shore towns, solve parking problems without ignoring their tax paying residents, unlike the Neptune Township Comedy.
JOHN WILLIAMS AND ITZHAK PERLMAN. “Theme from the movie Il Postino…” You won’t hear or see this at the Rock Festival:

OG and AP should get together and bring the New York Philharmonic to our beach.
