BEVERLY KENNEY   “That’s All”

I can only give you love that lasts forever

And a promise to be near each time you call,

And the only heart I own

For you and you alone,

That’s all, that’s all.

didn’t take a napkin..honest! Just peeked up close to see what it said!! Some clever decor too..Seating was listed by table on an old paned window! And the resident pooch (statue) wore black tie and top hat!

Yes, we held our son’s wedding in our beautiful courtyard last summer (2012). My husband is a clergyman; our son is a chef. The couple was married under the rose arbor and a delectable feast was lovingly prepared by the bride and groom. It was a wonderful day and an even more wonderful memory that kept us going after the ravages of super storm ‘Sandy’ and Fletcher Lake flooded our home.

OGJamie: That house is one of the most magnificent in OG. It is on Ocean Avenue, and the property reaches out to Heck and Main. It is a single-family and was owned by a well known couple in the Grove. I think the family still owns it. —Paul

I’ve seen at least three weddings held on that lot…do they rent it out for such occasions? Is that a multi-family/hotel? Great location, btw.

Thank you for sharing. It is funny, but how did you acquire a napkin? Did you sneak in while they were blowing bubbles? Are you a wedding crasher? Do you know if that was just the reception or did they actually marry there?

I once went to a wedding at the end of the fishing pier. Have any of you been at a wedding in a house in the Grove?

And please don’t bring up the Pavilion issue again—–that wasn’t a wedding, and those arguments give me tsuris. (According to the Urban Dictionary this is what tsuris is: “tsuris is a Yiddish word for worries, stress, or hassle.”) The last time we discussed Yiddish on Blogfinger was at this link regarding underwear at the Flea Market: http://blogfinger.net/2013/02/15/gotkas-at-the-flea-market/
