Christmas Eve at Firemen’s Park: bright lights, dark sky, Santa, lining up, milling around…

December 24, 2024 by Blogfinger

6 pm was dark when I arrived with my camera.  Bright lights, white and red and what the hey?  All photographs by Paul Goldfinger, Blogfinger.net.  Click once to enlarge.

Adjust to the lights and see the crowd forming up. A bit of slow motion mayhem. No music: gadzooks! Did we miss them?

Lining up for Santa.

There were kids who  looked alike, but this one seemed special.  He smiled at me, wore a unique ensemble including glasses, a bow tie, and a one-of-a-kind hat, and he seemed to have a mission that did not include Santa.  He was moving fast, blurring my  photo.  What was his destination?

It was a family event, but most lined up for Santa….except this one. The little guy was dressed for a formal event. In Ocean Grove?

Most people amused themselves by standing in line for Santa and his lovely wife. But do these adults plan to hug Santa?  Where are the kids?
