Fortunately, our air craft carriers were 170 miles at sea.
US Intelligence went right to work to plan an attack on the Japanese Navy.
6 months later, the US Navy destroyed the Japanese air craft carriers. (four) in the Battle of Midway. –June 4-7, 1942. And they also demolished their naval fighter force along with some of their elite pilots. It was a great victory.
