The 2001 HBO  10 part miniseries  Band of Brothers  is an accurate depiction of what happened to Easy Company of the US Army’s Airborne Division.  Losses were heavy as these troops were dropped into Normandy, behind enemy lines, by parachute into miserable weather on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

This series is one of the best  based on WWII.

I never tire of  Band of Brothers and watch it every year. It was shot in color which resulted in vivid  movie making.  Netflix has it.

The creators are Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Damian Lewis, the marvelous British actor, stars as Major Richard Winters.

We have some more photos to show.
