If someone asks you for your beach badge, don’t forget that they are collectibles. A women in Fla. saw my OG badge on my hat and asked if I wanted to part with it. She said that only NJ has beach badges. Eileen has a collection.

It was cloudy for this Labor Day Monday morning. Clearly people were beginning to leave for home, and there were few on the beach. A small gathering on the beach were staring out at the ocean because a whale was surfacing intermittently. But if you bent over to grab your coffee, you would miss it. If anyone has a whale photo from the OG beach, please send it to Blogfinger@vernzon.net
A few bikers were still on the boards at 9:15 am, and the CMA fuss-pots were yelling at them as they rode by.
The beach patrol would be ending their official duties for this season.
Dogs can go on the beach (leashed) from Oct 1-May 1. There is no dog beach or dog park in the Grove thanks to the CMA despite the large dog population here. Let’s give dogs the vote.
